Interactions With Guests:

Your stay at Reel Hip is designed to be as convenient and hassle-free as possible.

Self-Check-In: Guests will receive a personalized door code within 24 hours of their arrival, allowing for seamless self-access to the unit.

Host Availability: While I don’t meet guests on-site, I’m always just a message away. Feel free to reach out via text or email with any questions, concerns, or special requests during your stay.

To ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for all guests, please carefully review the following house rules and important information:

House Rules:

NO Smoking or Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the unit, on the lanai, and in the hallways. Smoking/vaping is only allowed in outdoor areas, away from other guests.

NO Pets: Pets are not permitted on the property. Due to severe allergies within my family, I cannot accommodate guests with Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) or Service Animals.

Extra Cleaning: Failure to remove all trash and food from unit, refrigerator, & bait freezer and dispose of trash in the designated dumpsters will result in an additional cleaning fee of $200.

Kitchen & Cooking: The induction cooktop is smart with built-in sensors for overheating & spillage. To prevent overheating, the cooktop requires the power to be split between the 2 eyes - 100/1, 50/50, 60/40 etc. DO NOT turn both eyes on HIGH & DO NOT allow items to boil/spill over, this will cause irreparable damage. Guest are responsible for proper and responsible use of appliances. Spills & Overheating (not properly splitting the power between the eyes) will destroy the cooktop & guests will be charged for replacement. If you are not familiar with induction cooktops, I have happily supplied a separate, portable, non-induction 2 burner eye for your use.

Do not Fry Fish inside the unit as this causes a very unpleasant odor that is hard to eliminate. We supply a NEW Napoleon Gas Grill with a side burner or you may use the portable electric 2 burner cooktop outside. Thanks for your understanding and helping us provide a pleasant experience for all our guests.

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests, including infants, is strictly limited to 4 persons. This policy is enforced by the City of Marathon.

Rates

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $75.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $75.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Hip Stays matches all published rates found on any booking platform. When you book direct you have 2 options: Book Now and make pay via Stripe with a 4% processing fee or Request to book and I will create a quote for you. Once you receive the quote you may book via Zelle (non-business) with a 2% processing fee. Either option is cheaper than booking on large booking platforms where they charge 6% - 15% saving you more money to spend on excursion and fun activities in the Florida Keys.
